A new film concerning the Battle of the Alamo--supposedly more authentic and realistic than previous cinematic renderings--is getting a thumbs-down from San Antonio city officials and consultants. City councilman Walter Martinez said this week that about 30 people saw an unfinished version of the 45-minute film and were decidedly underwhelmed. “We feel that it is going to be very difficult to try to save this thing,” Martinez said. “We have serious, serious problems with it.”
