President Reagan wound up a three-day visit to Los Angeles and flew to Rancho Mirage where he and his wife, Nancy, plan to see in the New Year at the estate of multimillionaire publisher Walter H. Annenberg and his wife, Leonore. The Reagans have visited the Annenbergs’ 205-acre estate, Sunnylands, during the last week of the year for many years. Earlier in the day, the traveling White House press office said Dr. Ralph Bookman, an allergist who examined Reagan on Monday, “reports the President is fine.” Marlin Fitzwater, White House spokesman, said Reagan also saw his hearing specialist, Dr. John House, and was fitted with a new hearing aid before leaving Los Angeles.
