Alhambra : Code Division Moves
The city’s code enforcement division, which investigates complaints of violations of city health, safety, building and zoning regulations, has been transferred to the city Fire Department, where it will be supervised by Fire Marshal Dave Carlson.
The division, which formerly was part of the Department of Housing and Community Development, will occupy offices at the Fire Department headquarters, 301 N. 1st St.
Carlson said bringing code enforcement into the Fire Department “made sense since the two departments share many overlapping functions.” The code enforcement division includes a senior officer and three enforcement officers.
