A confrontation involving a Bloomington man who was shot and killed by a deputy is being investigated by San Bernardino County homicide detectives, a spokesman said. It was the sixth shooting by law enforcement officers in the county in as many weeks, authorities said. Deputies called to the scene of a stabbing found Moises Acevedo, 24, stabbing himself with a knife, Deputy Jerry Bulf said. When they ordered Acevedo to drop the knife, Acevedo threatened them and a deputy shot him, Bulf said.
