One unit of the Sierra Conservation Center prison near Jamestown is in lock-down after two inmates were stabbed in a riot. Lt. Keith Harlan said 30 inmates were involved in a riot in a minimum-security housing section. The fight stemmed from a continuing feud between Northern and Southern California Latino gangs, Harlan said. Wilheim Stalknegt, 24, was listed in stable condition in Sonora Community Hospital with two serious stab wounds. Michael Sanchez, 25, was being treated at the prison hospital for superficial wounds, Harlan said. Both inmates were committed from Los Angeles County. Harlan said two stabbing implements, including a sharpened spoon, have been recovered.
