‘Reminder of Folly’

Share

Jewish leaders expressed concern about the criticism of Israel by our government regarding the riots in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank (Part I, Dec. 25).

Israel cannot get rid of the problem by trying to stop criticism of other governments. Riots can never be condoned but these are a result of a severe problem that is not being resolved. Instead of trying to overcome the criticism of our government, Israel should look at the problems that the Arabs have and try to find solutions to them.

Now is the time for Israel to realize that there is and has always been a serious problem with the rights of their Arab citizens and try to find a peaceful solution to this problem.
