Robert R. Lindberg, 47, was named vice president and treasurer of Transamerica Corp. Previously vice president-financial relations, Lindberg has been employed at the San Francisco-based financial services and insurance company since 1972. He succeeds Ronald C. Gilbert, who became executive vice president and treasurer of Security Pacific Corp. last year.
