480 Iraqis Killed, 900 Wounded, Kurds Report

NICOSIA, Cyprus —
Kurds opposed to the Baghdad government said they have killed 480 Iraqi soldiers and wounded 900 in northern Iraq since last March 22, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported Wednesday.
IRNA, monitored in Cyprus, said a senior Kurdish leader told a news conference in the west Iranian city of Bakhtaran that his fighters also captured 26 Iraqi troops.
