Nine Iranian refugees in Paris who have been on a four-week hunger strike to protest France’s expulsion of fellow refugees were rushed to a hospital. Their condition was not known. A hospital spokesman said the nine were being treated in Paris hospitals but declined to elaborate. Another 20 Iranians continued to fast outside the Office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees in an effort to secure the return of 14 Iranian dissidents and three Turkish Kurds expelled to Gabon on Dec. 8. France said the expelled Iranians are supporters of the Moujahedeen, the main Iranian opposition group.
