Artificial Heart Patient Has Successful Transplant

HOUSTON —
Doctors at Methodist Hospital on Tuesday completed a successful heart transplant on a man who had been kept alive since Saturday with an artificial heart, hospital officials said. The transplant recipient, identified only as a 52-year-old Texas man suffering progressive heart disease, remained in critical condition.
