As part of the city’s involvement in the Constitution 200 Celebration, a Freedom Shrine (consisting of framed copies of the U.S. Constitution) will be dedicated at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the La Mirada Post Office, which will be the shrine’s permanent home.

The public may attend the ceremony, the culmination of a series of events in the city during the celebration of the bicentennial signing of the U.S. Constitution. The shrine was purchased by the City of La Mirada and the La Habra Exchange Club.
