Local News in Brief : Los Alamitos : Jewelry Store Robbed and So Are Customers
Two men with handguns burst into Gold Trotters jewelry store in the 5000 block of Katella Avenue on Thursday and forced seven customers and employees to lie face down while they took jewelry and money, Los Alamitos police said.
The robbery started about 5 p.m., when the men ordered everyone into a back room while the robbers smashed the display case, rifled a safe and took money from the pockets of three customers and employees.
The suspects then ran off. No injuries were reported and there was no estimate of loss, police said.
