Slugger Reggie Jackson is considering an offer to play in Japan next season, if the price is right.
Jackson, currently on the roster of the Oakland A’s, indicated last year that he was playing for the last time but never actually announced his retirement.
He told reporters, who were gathered in Oakland to meet new members of the A’s, that he doesn’t plan to play in 1988, but added, “I do have an offer from Japan.
“I got a price,” he said. “The number is getting to the point where I can’t say that I won’t do it.”
