SALT LAKE CITY — A resolution designed to discourage the white supremacist group Aryan Nations from establishing branches in Utah received unanimous approval Friday from a House committee.
Although the resolution does not mention the white supremacist group by name, the Idaho-based organization was the target, Rep. Grant Protzman, sponsor of the resolution, said.
It calls for the governor and Legislature to oppose “all actions by groups or individuals that seek to intimidate, harass or harm another person because of that person’s race, color, religion, ancestry or national origin.”
