United Press International reported Monday that comedian Jackie Mason--the object of a paternity suit--is fighting back with a legal complaint of his own. Mason has filed suit against Ginger Reiter, 36, who says Mason, star of Broadway’s “The World According to Me,” is the father of her 2-year-old daughter. According to Mason, Reiter is using his copyrighted work without permission in a show about him, “Oh, Jackie, Oh,” that she performs at Florida condominium complexes. Mason’s complaint seeks to prevent Reiter from performing her show, which he says was timed to coincide with “the national popularity” of his Broadway show. He also said in the complaint that her show is “poorly performed” and denigrates his name. Reiter says the show is based on her side of the relationship, not Mason’s.
