Former CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite will moderate a confabulation of Democratic presidential nomination contenders in Houston Feb. 28 during the National Assn. of Television Program Executives conference in Houston. “Deciding America’s Future,” scheduled a week before the Super Tuesday Southern primaries, will be broadcast live from Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center (2 p.m.to 3:30 p.m. PST) and picked up nationally by various independent stations (a Los Angeles station will be announced Friday, organizers said). Two panels of Sunbelt politicians and university students in political science will direct questions to the candidates before an audience of leaders from the broadcasting and television programming industries.
