The North Orange County chapter of the National Organization for Women will stage a candlelight vigil Friday at 7 p.m. in the city of Orange.

Susan Brown, a spokeswoman for the group, said that about 100 people are expected to meet at the corner of Glassell Street and Almond Avenue, and then will march to the square at Glassell and Chapman Avenue.

The 30-minute vigil is intended to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decision upholding a woman’s right to an abortion, known as Roe vs. Wade.
