Loyola Seeks 10th Win in Row at Portland

Loyola Marymount will take a nine-game winning streak on the road tonight against the University of Portland, the only team in the West Coast Athletic Conference with a losing record.

The Lions (12-3 overall, 2-0 in the WCAC), in their best start since 1961-62, continue to rank second in the country in scoring with 106.5 points a game. They are led by Hank Gathers, with an average of 22.6 points a game; Corey Gaines, 18.9; Bo Kimble, 17.3, and Mike Yoest, 16.7.

Portland (5-10, 0-2) is coached by former Portland Trail Blazer Larry Steele.
