Academy Award-winning actor George C. Scott was undergoing tests Thursday at an undisclosed hospital where he was admitted over the weekend because of chest and stomach pains. The 60-year-old actor, who had been given a physical exam two weeks earlier, is reported in good condition but will remain hospitalized for at least a few more days. Taping of the final segment of the short-lived “Mr. President,” a Fox TV show in which Scott starred, had been scheduled for today) but producers decided to scrap the episode when Scott became ill.
