A propane tanker truck overturned on busy Interstate 80 northeast of Sacramento Thursday, shutting down a section of the freeway and forcing the evacuation of hundreds of people in the town of Auburn. There were reports of minor injuries. The Highway Patrol said the tanker collided with a pickup truck on I-80 between the Maple and Highway 49 exits, about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento. About 500 people were evacuated, and temporary shelter was set up at a nearby gym, authorities said.
