Three California high school seniors are among 40 finalists in the 47th annual Westinghouse Science Talent Search. Christine Cha Ming Tsou, 17, of Alhambra; Scott William Ryder, 18, of Fresno, and Hong B. Hyunh, 16, of San Diego, were chosen from among 300 semifinalists competing in the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science contest for high school students. They were selected on the basis of original research projects submitted to a panel of judges.
