Share

The bodies of two men who had been shot to death and possibly dumped near the Encino Golf Course were discovered by a jogger Tuesday, Los Angeles police said.

Neither of the victims, who were found sprawled on a turnoff at 8 a.m., carried identification, police said. Both men had been shot in the upper body.

“We do not know if they were shot and killed at the scene or killed somewhere else and dropped there,” said Detective Pat Anguiano, who noted that the spot off Burbank Boulevard where the bodies were found is readily accessible to vehicles.

Police estimated that the bodies could have been there as long as eight hours.

Anguiano said there was no known motive for the killings. Police will attempt to identify the two men, both Latinos estimated to have been in their 20s, through fingerprints, he said.
