40-Year-Old Is Found Slain in Sherman Oaks
The body of a man who had been beaten to death was found Wednesday when authorities were called to the scene of a disturbance in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles police said.
The victim, Nick Filanda, 40, died from a blow to the head, police said. His body was found at 1:45 a.m. in the loft bedroom of his apartment in the 4500 block of Colbath Avenue after neighbors reported a loud disturbance, police said.
Detective Pat Anguiano said police knew of no motive for the killing and had no suspects.
