Well, I’ve just finished perusing your exquisitely detailed ’88 movie guide and wondered if you might have (heaven forbid!) overlooked one of the year’s new films--”Split Decisions,” a family drama set against the background of the boxing world in New York City.

It stars Craig Sheffer, Jeff Fahey, Jennifer Beals, John McLiam and Gene Hackman as Dan McGuinn, and was directed by David Drury (“Defense of the Realm”). It opens in Los Angeles March 4.

Now I can sleep easy.
