Events in the news this week.
The Costa Mesa City Council on Thursday will again consider approval of a general plan amendment that would allow development of the massive Home Ranch project by C.J. Segerstrom & Sons. The special meeting was called after council members voted to delay approval after an all-night hearing Wednesday. The project along the San Diego Freeway would eventually include 3.1 million square feet of office space for 11,000 workers.
