More than 80 Mendocino County musicians, including recording artists Bonnie Raitt and Gene Parsons, have released a song opposing offshore oil drilling. “Little World” was written, produced and performed by the Northern California residents and also includes children’s choirs from Ukiah and Ft. Bragg. Mendocino station KMFB-FM plans to distribute the song to other radio stations across the country. “It is our hope that ‘Little World’ will capture the interest and support of the nation,” said station spokeswoman Jackie Kendall. The song protests the U.S. Interior Department’s five-year offshore leasing plan, encompassing 6.8 million acres in California waters targeted for possible oil exploration and development.
