Youth’s Release
So, Carlos (Pee Wee) Chavez and his gang are jubilant because Judge Robert Altman dismissed the case against him even though he confessed to killing a 16-year-old girl (“As a Mother Weeps, Gang Salutes Release of Youth,” Metro, Jan. 17).
If this is the law, then it is obvious to all sensible people that the law is wrong and should be changed. The people of California are sick, sick, sick of the myriad of excuses used to released vicious killers.
I would like to ask the judge if he would have dismissed the case if his child was killed by Pee Wee Chavez.
