Proposals for service and fare changes on 12 bus lines and the creation of three new bus lines will be considered at a public hearing Feb. 20 at 9 a.m. in the Rapid Transit District board room, second floor, 425 S. Main St., Los Angeles.

Also under consideration are proposals calling for employer and business subsidy support for transit. The changes are proposed to offset projected deficits in fiscal years 1988 and 1989.

Under one proposal the regular monthly pass would increase from $32 to $40 and the base cash fare would increase from 85 cents to $1. The creation of peak-hour fares and special zone fares is also being considered.
