Two Swedish journalists seized by gunmen in Muslim West Beirut said their kidnapers were disappointed to learn they were not from West Germany and let them go free. Cameraman Andre Lada, 45, and reporter Riden Folke, 29, of Sweden’s television news service, said the gunmen told them: “If you were Germans, we could have (gotten) $1 million.” The Swedish journalists are in Beirut to cover the abduction of two Scandinavian U.N. relief workers seized last week. Two West German nationals are currently being held hostage in Lebanon, and Muslim extremists have been demanding the freedom of two Lebanese brothers jailed in West Germany, one in the 1985 hijacking of a TWA airliner to Beirut.
