3 Armed Men Rob Jewelers in Glendale
Three men, armed with pistols and an AK-47 assault rifle, robbed a jewelry store at the Glendale Galleria on Sunday, police said.
Witnesses said the three men, wearing dark jackets, pants and baseball caps, entered the Slavick’s store shortly after noon, smashed display cases with a hammer and escaped with an undisclosed number of Rolex watches.
Mohammad Sharifzadeh, manager of an electronics store facing Slavick’s, said he heard “two or three popping sounds” that may have been gunfire.
But Glendale Police Sgt. Mike Rock would not confirm that shots were fired and said no one was hurt in the robbery.
