Annenberg Pledges $10 Million to School
Multimillionaire Walter H. Annenberg has pledged another $10 million to the prep school he attended, officials at the school said Monday.
“Nothing is more important than educating the youth of our country,” Annenberg, a founder of TV Guide magazine, said of his latest gift to the Peddie School at Hightstown, N.J. With the $12 million he pledged in 1983, Annenberg’s contributions to the school’s improvements fund now total $22 million, a record amount from a single donor, Peddie officials said.
Including earlier donations for other purposes, they said, Annenberg has given the school $30 million since his graduation in 1927.
