The Los Angeles City Council has voted to offer rewards totaling $75,000 for information leading to the arrests of those responsible for the slayings of three Los Angeles residents.

Councilman Nate Holden sought the rewards, of $25,000 each, for information leading to the apprehension of the killers of Tanya Hughes last July 26, of George Dejohnette on Aug. 8 and of Patrick Aragon Dec. 10. All died in gang-related violence.

Councilman Robert Farrell, meanwhile, has proposed offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer of Hertycine Johnson, who was shot Feb. 1 near 42nd Street and Raymond Avenue. Farrell’s reward proposal is under consideration by a City Council committee.
