AND NOW HERE’S THE NEWS: Have a hit sound-track album? Want another? Why wait two or three years for someone to make the movie sequel? RCA isn’t. After selling more than 3.5 million copies of “Dirty Dancing,” the label has already put together a soundtrack sequel, aptly titled “More Dirty Dancing.” Due out March 1, the record features a host of oldies featured in the film, including “Do You Love Me,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Some Kind of Wonderful,” plus more theme music from the picture. . . . Timbuk 3 has a new album coming April 4 titled “Eden Alley,” which will feature such songs as “Tarzan Was a Blues Man,” “Dance Fever” and “Rev. Jack and His Roamin’ Cadillac.” . . . Speaking of Cadillacs: Bruce Springsteen hasn’t scheduled a stop in Rockford, Ill., on his upcoming tour. So local rock outlet WZOK-FM is doing something about it. The station bought a 1968 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, painted it pink and has driven the car around to local schools, encouraging kids to sign the car itself as part of the station’s “Bruce Springsteen Pink Cadillac Petition Drive.” The station says it’s averaging 1,000 signatures a day. Don’t worry--WZOK isn’t going to impress Springsteen’s management firm by Fed Expressing the car itself. (Now that would make a great TV commercial!) They’ll send photos when the signature drive is over. . . . And Sen. Albert Gore is still dodging fallout from his wife Tipper’s anti-rock crusade. Last Wednesday’s Doonesbury strip lampooned “Prince Albert,” a presidential contender who seemed “the perfect generational candidate--well, almost perfect.” The final strip showed him in front of a bank of mikes, holding a Twisted Sister album, saying: “The wife and I want warnings on rock albums!”
