British Columbia’s singing constable, Brian Trudeau, has turned in his uniform after being suspended for wearing it in a rock video and talking to reporters without department approval. Trudeau, 30, a vocalist with the soft-rock band Urban Heat, who has been dubbed “The Rockin’ Cop” in Canadian media, was suspended with pay after a police disciplinary board hearing last week. The board found him guilty of five offenses and recommended that he be dismissed. The six-year police veteran said four of the offenses involved media interviews, while the fifth related to him wearing the pants to his police uniform while making a music video.
