Oak Industries Inc.’s earnings dropped 86% to $8.2 million for 1987. Sales were up 20% to $182.2 million. The San Diego diversified manufacturing firm said the results benefited from contributions of acquired companies, increased selling prices, improved efficiencies and reduction of operating costs within its divisions, and lower interest costs.
