William K. McClelland;Served Senior Citizens
William K. McClelland, 59, who founded Grand People Co. in 1981 with a grant from the Weingart Foundation. The firm provides cultural events and transportation to them for Los Angeles-area senior citizens. A former manager of community affairs for the Music Center Operating Co., McClelland’s company also founded a breakfast club for seniors and hosted a public service radio program, “Older and Wiser.” He also served on the National Advisory Council on Aging. In Los Angeles on Feb. 20 of the complications of liver illness and peritonitis.
