Junior High School Evacuated

A junior high school was evacuated for more than three hours today while a hazardous materials squad removed chemicals and flammable material from a large garbage bin on the grounds. The chemicals were possibly remnants of an illegal PCP lab, city fire spokesman Jim Wells said.
No injuries were reported at Mary McLeod Bethune Junior High School on West 69th Street, Wells said.
