President Reagan is scheduled to meet with Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev at a Moscow summit for four days during the week of May 22-28, U.S. officials said Friday.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Reagan will be gone from Washington for seven to nine days and will spend a night in Helsinki, Finland, before proceeding to Moscow, where he and Gorbachev will meet for four days, with May 25-28 the “target dates.”

Reagan will also report to U.S. allies after the summit, his fourth with Gorbachev. This session is tentatively planned for Brussels. He then would spend the night in London and meet with British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
