The Soviet Union’s Ms. Rogers, Tatiana Vedeneeva, drops by her American counterpart’s TV neighborhood this week, the second half of a cultural exchange between the two countries and the two TV hosts. Last September, Fred Rogers visited Vedeneeva’s “Good Night, Little Ones” in Moscow; in November, Vedeneeva paid her respects in Philadelphia, where she taped the show that will air Thursday. Rogers greets her with a song he composed just for the occasion: “We would like to welcome you. It’s good to be in touch. We would like to welcome you. Our friendship means so much.” Rogers’ visit to “Good Night, Little Ones” last September will be aired by the Public Broadcasting Service on Tuesday.
