China, Vietnam Ships Trade Fire

BEIJING —
Chinese and Vietnamese ships fired on each other today in the South China Sea as a long-running dispute over a small group of strategic islands erupted in hostilities for the first time, New China News Agency said. The exchange of fire occurred in the Spratly islands.
