A unit of Wickes Cos. has formed a joint venture with Shiroki Corp. of Yokohama, Japan, to design and manufacture window regulators for the North American auto market. The Wickes unit, Wickes Manufacturing Co. of Southfield, Mich., and Shiroki currently are leading suppliers of components to auto makers in the United States and Japan. Window regulators control the speed and position of power windows.
