AND NOW HERE’S THE NEWS: Paging all Prince fans. The bad news: as it stands now, the Purple One will never release the much-bootlegged “Black” album, which is going for as much as $200 a copy overseas these days. But here’s the good news: Prince has already finished a new album, “Love Sexy,” which is now scheduled for a May 3 release on Paisley Park Records. As is customary, Prince’s camp refused to offer us any details. However, our Deepest Purple source supplied a list of songs, which include “Eye No,” “Alphabet St.” (due to be the first single), “Glam Slam,” “Anna Stesia,” “When 2 R in Love,” “I Wish U Heaven” and “Positivity.” . . . Prince also makes an appearance on the new “Bright Lights Big City” sound-track album, due out this week from Warner Records. He’s represented by “Good Love” (from his never-released “Camille” album). Other tracks include “Kiss and Tell” by Brian Ferry (out as a single), “Pleasure Little Treasure” by Depeche Mode, “Pump Up the Volume” by M/A/R/R/S, “True Faith” by New Order and “Century’s End” by Donald Fagen. . . . And let’s hope the Scorpions have their passports ready. They’ll be the first German heavy-metal band to go to the Soviet Union next month when they embark on a Russian tour April 16 that will include five dates in Leningrad and five in Moscow.
