High Temperatures Take a Dip

Share

A dramatic drop in daytime temperatures greeted sun-baked San Diegans on Sunday.

Unseasonably hot temperatures were brushed away Sunday morning by patchy low clouds and fog along the coast and by cool gusty winds in other areas of the county, forecasters said.

Sunday’s high of 70 degrees at Lindbergh Field was a sharp tumble from Saturday’s record high of 93. The normal high at the airport for this date is 71.

In comparison, inland temperatures only cooled off an average of 6 to 7 degrees, with many areas reporting highs in the upper 80s, forecasters said.

High pressure off the coast will keep skies fair the next couple of days, with temperatures continuing at near-seasonal levels.
