The president of Smoker’s Rights Alliance says he is organizing a protest at key airports nationwide to protest Northwest Airlines’ plan to ban smoking on all flights over North American soil, starting April 23. Dave Brenton, a 34-year-old electronics consultant, said he hopes to turn out crowds of 200 to 300 next month at Phoenix Sky Harbor International and a dozen other major airports. Separately, Air Wisconsin announced that it will ban smoking on all of its 273 daily flights beginning April 23.
