‘Genetic Fingerprints’ of Sex Offenders Sought

SEATTLE —
The King County Council has approved an ordinance requiring sex offenders to give blood samples that will provide “genetic fingerprints.” Under the law, which was passed Monday and takes effect Oct. 1, police will build a genetic library of sex offenders to aid future investigations.
