Local News in Brief : Van Nuys Man, 51, Found Fatally Stabbed
A 51-year-old Van Nuys man was found stabbed to death in his condominium after a friend became concerned when the victim missed an appointment and no one answered his telephone, police said Wednesday.
The victim, whom police did not identify because his family has not been notified, was found at 5 p.m. Tuesday on the floor of the bedroom of the condominium in the 15000 block of Victory Boulevard.
Police said the man had been stabbed repeatedly and had been dead at least one day. The home apparently was not broken into, and no property inside appeared missing, but a car the victim had been using, a 1986 Pontiac TransAm, was missing and has not been found, officers said.
