Pilot Ejects Before Crash

METZ, France —
A French air force fighter-bomber on a high-altitude training mission crashed Friday near the West German border, but the pilot ejected safely, the military said. The Mirage III-E long-range fighter-bomber developed technical problems, military officials said.
