Henry T. Segerstrom will be given the California Confederation of the Arts’ Leonardo da Vinci Award, confederation executive director Susan Hoffman announced Tuesday. The Costa Mesa real estate developer and Orange County Performing Arts Center board chairman was named for “his extraordinary contributions to the arts,” Hoffman said. “As a leader in arts funding and support, he has set the tone for Orange County.”

Past recipients of the award from the 13-year old arts advocacy association have included William Kieschnick, former president and chief executive officer of Arco; Neil Harlan, CEO of the McKesson Corp., and Louise M. Davies, principal benefactor of the Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.

The confederation will hold its annual Congress of the Arts at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel in Costa Mesa Oct. 13 and 14. Segerstrom will receive his award at a luncheon Oct. 14 at Le Meridien hotel in Newport Beach.
