Cerritos : ABC to Name Fund-Raiser
Robert Beall, 52, principal of Whitney High School in Cerritos, is expected to be appointed soon to a newly proposed management position of fund-raiser for the ABC Unified School District. The ABC Board of Education on Tuesday authorized Charles Ledbetter, acting superintendent, to begin a search for a principal to replace Beall at the college preparatory high school, where he has been principal 12 years.
Ledbetter has recommended that Beall be named to the newly proposed position of director of resource planning. In that job, which would pay $63,384 annually, Beall would be responsible for raising additional revenue for the 22,000-student district. Beall would seek money from both private and governmental sources, Ledbetter said. After a lengthy discussion, the board asked that Beall’s job proposal be brought back for action on April 19.
