Local News in Brief : Politics : Young Republicans Plan Forum for Candidates
The Orange County Young Republicans will sponsor a forum April 13 for 13 candidates seeking the party’s nomination in the June primary for the 40th Congressional District.
The scramble to win the nomination was triggered when Rep. Robert E. Badham (R-Newport Beach) announced in January he would not seek a seventh term in the district, which includes 525,000 residents in 11 cities. The forum is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel, 666 Anton St., Costa Mesa.
